Golf in Aiken County
Houndslake Country Club
Houndslake Country Club is a private golf club just a few miles from downtown Aiken, South Carolina. It is comprised of three 9-hole championship golf courses, all designed by Joe Lee. The first two courses opened in 1974, and the third in 1979. All three are set in rolling terrain and feature Bermuda grass fairways and greens throughout. The amenities at Houndslake include a practice green, practice range, pro shop, bar, snack bar, rental clubs and a beautiful resort hotel adjacent to the course called the Guest House.

Lee is well known in Florida, where his design credits include Disney World, La Costa, Doral's "Blue Monster," and Cog Hill's "Dubsdred" among others, but he has said that Houndslake is the finest piece of property he has ever had the pleasure of working with. He designed the courses with the versatility to be fun for the higher-handicap golfers, but it is also a real challenge for the championship caliber player. Houndslake is a course you will never tire of playing.
Houndslake is offering a unique membership option for Trolley Run Station residents. Please visit their website, www.houndslakecc.com, to find out more about this premier golf club.
